I have
owned and trained many different dogs, including boxers poodles, Labradors,
cross breeds, and German shorthaired pointers. I have personally had
many of the problems with my own dogs so I am in a good position to
help others, such as bitch to bitch aggression, destructive puppies,
fears and phobias.
Over the years we have had as many as seven dogs living in the house.
All my dogs are pets, they are treated with respect, consequently they
love to learn.
Pets dogs should be part of the family, a joy to own train and take
out.
If you are going to the right training class both you and your dog will
be enjoying the experience,
if not come and watch one of our classes, it is full of smiling faces
and wagging tails.
I have been taking dog training
classes in Nottinghamshire for twenty years, over the last ten I have
specialised more in dog problem behaviour and early learning, puppies.
My deep
love of dogs was compounded when I had a guide dog Emma- she gave me
the understanding to relate to dogs, to treat them with respect, and
to know that dogs can understand anything we want if only we can put
it over to them.
After my
successful eye operation I wanted to give back to dogs, the best way
was to prove that dogs can be trained kindly gently with out any cruel
or harsh methods.
I have trained
and competed with my dogs and trained all breeds for obedience shows
and trials.
I have
a City and Guilds in canine studies.
I am a member of the Association
of pet dog trainers. no. 00411.
I choose to join this association because of their high standard,
a strictly adhered to codes of practice, no harsh methods, no check
chain collars, etc.
I have an HNC in canine
training and behaviour.
I am also the president of the Labrador welfare society.
